Grade level positions act as the liaison between the teachers in their grade and the PTO. They are asked to share our meeting agendas with teachers, raise topics at meetings the grade would like discussed, update the PTO on what is going on in the grade, etc.
Depending on the board position the following is a sample of the responsibility, the Secretary creates the monthly agendas with inputs from grade level coordinators and board members, takes minutes at each meeting, posts the meeting minutes, keeps all documents and records. The Treasurer position keep all financial records, manages the bank account, creates the yearly budget with the Presidents input, reconciles the account before each meeting, makes all payments for the PTO, etc. The Vice President helps with PTO communications by hanging and sending home information, sending out emails and works closely with all the board positions and President position, as this role will become the President the second year.
