What we do
The Lowell School PTO raises funds to support Lowell students and teachers and sponsors events to enhance the community spirit of our wonderful school. Many families are curious to know where the money raised and donated each year goes. Good question! The following are some of the PTO's spending categories. 100% of the money raised goes directly back into programs and services for all of our children.
In the past, we have provided funds for iPads for teachers, technology that helps them make use of the iPads in classroom demonstrations, and money for apps.
Movie Night, International Night, Literacy Night and the End-of-the-Year picnic are all events that the PTO plans, manages, runs, and pays for!
Classroom and student subscriptions
Different grade levels use different subscriptions, but these include everything from Raz Kids to Xtra Math.
The PTO provides funds for the classroom teachers to purchase additional supplies they may need in the year, as well as supplementing funds for music and art at the Lowell.
The PTO offers a cooking club for K-1, science club for 2-3 and newspaper club for 4-5 after school.
Our annual Book Fair raises money that goes directly to books and resource material for the Lowell library. The purchases are targeted yearly to specific areas of need or to replace outdated publications
Thank you for your support and let's make this an amazing year for our kids!
