What we do
The Lowell School FTO raises funds to support Lowell students and teachers and sponsors events to enhance the community spirit of our wonderful school. Many families are curious to know where the money raised and donated each year goes. Good question! The following are some of the FTO's spending categories. 100% of the money raised goes directly back into programs and services for all of our children.
Family eventsMovie Night, International Night, Fall Festival, and the End-of-the-Year picnic are all events that the FTO plans, manages, runs, and pays for! We also support other school-wide events like STEM and Literacy Night, events hosted by the Diversity, Belonging, and Inclusion Council, and grade-level special events.

SuppliesThe FTO provides funds and supplies throughout the year for the classroom teachers and support staff to ensure their classroom needs are met. We also help them grow their classroom libraries through the Book Fair.
Library supportOur annual Book Fair raises money that goes directly to books and resource material for the Lowell library. The purchases are targeted yearly to specific areas of need or to replace outdated publications. This year, the Book Fair may be virtual due to our building issue.

Afterschool ClubsThe FTO offers a variety of clubs for students of different ages and interests. We have a Knitting Club coming up soon. Last year, we had a Cosmic Yoga Club, and in the past we had Cooking and Newspaper clubs too.
